Well yes, this would be a great restaurant if he was able to leave the 18 cheerleaders at the hotel

Seriously, call South City Kitchen and make reservation for 18. The prices can be reasonable if everyone in your party is not ordering the filet. It's about as good as it gets in that price range in Atlanta.

Tennessee Williams once said, "America only as three cities: New York, San Francisco and New Orleans. Everywhere else is Cleveland."

Well unfortunately Atlanta falls in that Cleveland category especially in terms of food. If you want quality food in Atlanta it's not going to be cheap. South City Kitchen actually breaks out of that mold and offers a very good quality to price ratio. Not as high as most restaurants in New Orleans offer but pretty damn good for Atlanta.

In a metro area of 6 million I find this to be a remarkable statement.

In what part of town do you live?

You have no idea what you're talking about. Atlanta may be a cultural void in some respects, but dining in Atlanta is getting very wide acclaim, especially for advances in the last 5 years.
