Oh, so since you brought up cooking, I guess all modern day chef's don't really know how to 'cook" because they don't know the art of building a proper fire and cooking without gas / electricity, which takes a lot more skill than simply pressing a button or turning a knob to get the proper temperature. Give me a break... Some instruments are harder to learn than others. That doesn't mean anything when it comes to the quality of the end product. You could be a guitar virtuoso and still just write music that people consider "noise."

You are talking about the process of creating music (cooking) instead of music (food) itself, which is a completely different subject.
