Thats exactly the type of outlet behind the tv in pic except mine is vertical. Drilled hole through bookshelf into fireplace and ran hdmi, rca for cox box and dvd/game console. The trick is mount your bracket first then etch your outlet out and cut with drywall keyhole saw after so your outlet is in the best spot and can be covered but not blocked by tv. The rest of the "Smart" TV functionality is wireless so no need for anything else. Mine is actually to code because I drilled holes through the header and stapled romex with mounted gang box behind outlet.
