I'm getting out of my deer lease and going to be hunting family land closer to my house (baby #2 arrives in August) so I'm in the process now of removing stands from the old lease and scouting the new land for stand sites. I will do that for about 2 more weeks and then is Bass Tournament season starting on Feb. 21.
I'm boatless for the first time in 15 years so fishing this year will mainly only be with my tournament partner and a little pond hopping when time allows. It'll be October again before you know it!

Well hell. Wahoo fishing time. Bass spawn will be coming. Bowfishing is good right now. Frogging while the water is still cool and they move slower. Keeps getting warmer. Summer tuna fishing. Trout fishing.
I'm pretty pumped. I've had enough of the cold anyway. Good things on the horizon.

The great thing about life is there is always something to look forward to. We may have certain things that we like to do over others (hunting vs fishing, etc) but there are so many things to do and be thankful for. My philosophy is that I am not promised another day on this world, so whatever I do, I try to do it and enjoy it....especially when I can plan things with my family. That being said, looking forward to a couple more rabbit hunts and then on to fishing!
Wise man
