Restoring an old gun???

I got a single shot .22 that I think is an older Sears model. The gun is accurate as hell and a blast to shoot. Only negative is the original wood on it looks like shite.
What can I do to mod this gun? Can't you camo dip guns? Anything else to look into to make it not such an eye sore.

Clean it up with Krud Kutter or Murphy's Oil Soap. You can dip it yourself if you want. It isn't hard to do. Just take your time and enjoy working on it yourself.

My dad cerakoted his Nylon 66 because the barrel was in bad shape
Actually shot it this weekend and it is still a blast :rimshot:

depends on what is wrong with the wood...
if it is dirty, just wash it with some murphy oil soap...
if the finish is bad, take the stock and foregrip off, strip with some stripper, stain to your preference and then brush on a few coats of polyeurethane sealer...
if the wood itself is fricked up, you'll have to either replace the wood parts, paint it, or cover with camo tape....

Get old stuff off with hot water and kris kutter
Sand LIGHTLY with fine grit to get the remainder off
If you like the wood use Tru oil and buff in between coats with steel wool.
Simple but take your time and do it right.
