I feel the same way when people mention San Diego all the time on this board....


i've never been to denver, but i get what you are saying with austin and san diego. however, san diego is generally brought up when people talk about great place to live, which it is due to weather, proximity to the beach, and some other factors. As a tourist, San Diego is really nothing special, which is why it could be thought of as overrated.

Regarding Austin, it was cool to visit, but it definitely didn't blow me away like new york or new orleans, and thats probably why people are saying its overrated. however, in defense of austin, it kind of reminded me of san diego minus the ocean, so i could imagine it being a great place to live.
