May go there for my honeymoon. I've checked out a ton of places. I've heard good things about Iberostar Grand Bavaro.

I know someone who stayed at Excellence and they said it was decent.

And for all those saying DR is shitty and nothing to do outside of the hotels/resorts, you do realize that's why it was built, right?

Most places like Punta Cana were created as a tourist designation for people to hit up the resorts, drink a shite ton and eat.

I never understood the point of paying for a big resort to only want to go on trips to other parts of the island, etc. If that's the case go to a nice island that has less people and is safer
