Excellent Point - remember the only consistent in a decade is MILES. We have run through several OCs and all of them cannot suck.

This has little to do with the OCs as far as scheme or play calling. The problem has been not having a dedicated QB coach. Jimbo was one, and we fared very well. A Jimbo taught QB lead LSU to a national championship in 2007. After that, Miles killed the development of our QBs by not getting another QB coach.

Crowton was never good at developing QBs and that was shown after he completely ruined Danny O Brien who was the top freshman QB the year before Crowton got to Maryland. He went and got Kragthorpe, yet he was too ill to do his job. Then he basically split the OC duties with himself, Krags, and Stud (our OL coach). Cam is only the second QB coach Miles has had in his 10 year tenure.

Jennings never improved from the Iowa Bowl game to the recent loss to Notre Dame. Hate to say it but that is pretty difficult for even the worse coach to pull off.

Now this is just ridiculous. Every year there are QBs who don't develop throughout the year even with decent QB coaches. Some guys look bad for years until the light comes on. Look at Rob Bolden for example, guy is just not good and he was rated as the #3 dual threat in the country coming out.

Don't say Cam is bad because one QB just doesn't get it and the other is very raw with a huge ego and mediocre work ethic. Harris just needs to step it up.

sometimes, the best Qb coach in the world is not enough to get the improvement you need.

With Shea, this kid has super football/QB IQ and work ethic. Sure, He'll need coaching at the next level, and the difference is that the coaching will stick. He's our boy.
