It was absolutely in poor taste, but is also being blown way out of proportion. It seems like it was more of a fashion reference than anything. That said, the Canadian hottie wasn't wearing an outrageous fashion statement like Serena does, so it seems like the "fluoros" were just an excuse for him to be slightly creepy.

IMO it was a bit weird and unprofessional. He shouldn't have asked it, but it isn't some huge deal.
He should prob apologize as a matter of courtesy, but shouldn't get in any trouble.
