What if 100,000 people living today were sent back to 1770 with 100 of whatever they last bought and were tasked with establishing a monarchy in the U.S. independent from England which obviously was still our ruling country at the time. The 99,999 who failed would be automatically killed. You would have to rely heavily on whatever you just bought as well as your knowledge of future events (to 1770 folk anyway).

You might say the guy who bought a gun or even a tank wins, but he will run out of ammunition and gas long before can establish a monarchy over the U.S.
