There's a "tram" at Olivers Inlet not far from JNU that you can use to transport gear, and there's a cabin at Seymour Canal. Not far from Windfall Harbor and Pack Creek. There's an observation deck at Pack Creek to watch the bears in the creek.

You can canoe or kayak a water route across the island from Seymour canal and come out near the native village of Angoon.
