Area 4 Closeout thread. Wha'd'ya 'got?

Myself I got a big fat nothing these last couple of days. I'm disappointed in that I figured after those days of rain that cleared away quickly the deer would be up and moving.
I saw some things here or there but nothing during shooting hours in the spots I picked. I relied on game cameras to help me make a good bet. Even worse, the game cameras we had showed there just wasn't as much activity as there was even a week ago. Why is that? Weather/warmth this weekend?
So how about you? Take anything this last week? Anything this last doe day/either sex weekend?
Now it's back to full time hog killing.

We didnt see squat in west feliciana this yr. I gave up on the damn deer a few weeks ago and turned off the feeders, and have been having way more fun shooting rabbits, squirrels, and woodcock

I didn't get to hunt but 4 weekends this year. I saw a grand total of 1 deer this year.

Kids left the gate open and my horse got out and went in his yard. He called my step dad raising hell about hoof prints in his yard. Said next times he's filing charges and suing for damages.
I tried getting in touch with him but he avoided me. Thing is, his damn dogs have caused more damage over the years and we never complained. Chalked it up to just country life and dealt with it. I'm to the point of accepting his challenge and putting steel traps around my garbage cans, hog pen, etc. I'll catch his damn dog and bring it to the pound and he can get a citation for violation of the parish leash law ordinance. That's just the beginning of how I can make him regret being a little bitch about some horse tracks in his yard.

We've got some deer out there. But they only are around at night.
Father in law took the biggest buck seen this season. It's only right as it's his land.
I stalked a doe Sat morning but she went into some thick brush. Picked up some new ideas/spots to watch after that.
