Maybe. But you also have to give him credit for developing Sims into an All-SEC type player. He may be too pass happy for SEC football, but you also have to give him credit for what he did accomplish.

He threw the ball too much at times, but overall he did a great job converting Sims into one of the 3-4 best QBs in the SEC this year. I remain convinced that had he stayed committed to the run against OSU that Bama likely wins that game. Passing that frequently against an OSU D that was committed to stopping Cooper was the clearest example of him either A) overthinking it, B) being outcoached, or C) both.
