Let alone all the D-1 Power 5 games you watch, where they look space-age compared to LSU in half court sets..
I'm watching Women's Hoops right now, Tenn-Notre Dame..the Irish women have a far greater Hoops IQ than LSU's Men in running sets.

I often wonder why players never get blame? Zones are created for a specific reason...to make people shoot. The problem with LSU is we have plenty of players who are just willing to shoot a deep 3 and not work for a better shot. The only person who consistently drives into the lane during a zone is Gray. Then he turns it over 1 out of 3 possessions and people go batshit, so then everyone says it's ok to just launch 3's. Our options are Gray try to penetrate and make something happen, or we just bombard from 3. FWIW, this is where I believe if Martin was an All-Star (like some predict), he should be able to create. 6'10 with great athleticism, but shoots jump shots. Hornsby also needs to attack more because he is so strong and quick.
TQ used to drive, then he went 6/11 against UGA and now he's a jump shooter I guess. I want the TQ who played with a chip on his shoulder, not the NCAA player of the week who is 3/13 with a 3:5 TO ratio since.
Our team has a ton of problems, Josh Gray having a 5.2/3.5 Ast/To is not the biggest. I'll also point out that Gray's Ast/TO ratio is 1.5, whereas TQ's is 1.2. Gray definitely turns it over too much sometimes, but the problem is people only want to see what they want. Every year LSU fans have to hate on somebody. He's shooting 42% compared to TQ's 44%, averages more steals, and has a better assist ratio. TQ for sure plays better lock down D most the time, but the gap between the 2 has not been that big, and TQ is winning awards for his play and Gray is getting shite on.
