2011 - but that had a lot to do with Tyrann Mathieu
when I thought for a second to answer OPs question, every image in my head was of Badger. so yeah, it probably did have more to do with Tyrann than chavis.

Against A&M with Manziel. He shut him down both times.
he really didn't though, TAM just plays into chavis' passive, "keep everything in front of you" scheme. it's the same reason West Virginia had 533 yards (463 passing) but only scored 21.

TAM had 410 yards in the first game (276 passing), and they were driving, down 17-12, with about 3 minutes to go. they had a 1st and 10 at midfield before an INT by Tharold Simon. one play later, Hill broke a 47 yard TD.

TAM then went 80 yards in about 90 seconds and it was 24-19 with 1:17 to go. luckily LSU recovered the onside kick after that.

This is the kind of stuff that gets forgotten in some of the wins we've had the last few years. Chris's scheme has almost cost us the win several times. The defense hasn't been the sole earner of wins as many would have you believe.
