Are you trolling Stache or be ye serious?

Mumford and Son, Lumineers. Agreed. TV advert muzak, for sure.
LULZ with the bashing of Springsteen and U2. Both may be mere shadows of their former selves, but they were MONSTERS in their prime (and just before it).
The Rolling Stones. What?????
When has AC/DC ever been critically acclaimed?
Bob Dylan doesn´t suck, but the legend is slightly greater than the substance-- IMNSHO.
me $0.02

I like Valley Girl,
You like one of his less interesting songs. It just so happens to have been his most commercially successful song because it has a light stupid humor and for him very simplified music that is more accessible to the general public. It's what the person who knows nothing about Frank Zappa would say is his favorite song by him.
Most of his music is too inaccessible for most people. The music itself is too complex. The general public generally doesn't get the sarcasm that he uses in his lyrics. He blurs the lines between satire and absurdity to where it is difficult to tell which he was going for in a given song. His lyrics are too crude. Everything about his general body of work simply was never made for everybody.
He was one of the few true musical geniuses of the 20th century who actually decided to play rock music, and I'm not surprised at all that there aren't more people who appreciate him.
