The past is the best predictor of the future, so no, QB development does not have a bright future.

We will find out everything we need to decidedly determine with no doubt whether Miles can adjust. He needs to get in Cam's face and challenge him and he needs to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with Jennings and Harris. His has been saying for a long time the word "compete" and seems to have a much different definition of it than most. We want to see Harris CONTEND for the QB spot, not just compete for it. If we are mid season and Jennings is an under-performing Junior starting QB, the fan base will turn on Miles in a way never even thought of previously. Jennings must grow in a major way or Harris must learn the offense and learn good principles of discipline and be the QB. This is a MUST. If not, 1) Cam will be thought of as a loser and 2) Miles will enter the hot seat for the first real time in his tenure.

Since this is a bright outlook post, I am assuming that Jennings and/or Harris are truly developed by the time we got to Moo State, and if we get reasonable performance in the early-to-mid season timeframe, we are off to the races and will get this QB malaise behind us for the remainder of the Miles tenure.
