It is amazing that with the exception of Mett, LSU QBs tend to be the least productive position on the team for the last 10 years of recruits. Bad luck with RP, Lee, and Gunner for sure, but still...

It really is amazing how much bad luck in retaining players has affected this ONE position.
If we could have waited until Lee/Jefferson/Jennings were Juniors before having to play them, we'd be sitting where Alabama is.

I don't understand how only LSU has problems with development of QB's
Actually most teams in CFB don't have a QB worth a damn. But go ahead thinking LSU and the top 5 teams in the country are the only ones that exist.

2015 is missing a QB....

and I don't think LSU can't take full credit for his "development"
Why not? Did he not improve significantly from 2012 to 2013? Who else should be credited with that development?

...and before we say that it is all about development, look at the ones who transferred. They haven't exactly set the world on fire elsewhere.
LSU has done a poor job of evaluating QB talent, coupled with some bad breaks on losing QBs for various reasons. Cam Cameron's body of work at LSU isn't big enough at this point to say whether or not he is good at developing QB talent, but his career tells you that he's pretty damned good. Saying that he can't develop QBs based on one season working with a true sophomore and a true freshman is just stupid.
In fairness, he deserves credit for Mett's development and deserves criticism for how he handled the young QBs this past season, which he has admitted to and owned.

Cole Kelley has a offer from Arky.....I think he's a take if we miss on franks or patterson

Yeah, let's ignore the fact that he was an early enrollee and was running the No. 1 offense in summer 7-on-7s... Your reasonings are so much more valid.
Zach Lee wasn't an EE. Besides, you're making a case for a player, that never played a down of football at LSU, would have, if he had stayed, proven that LSU was in fact capable of developing a QB.

Feleipe Franks could beat out Shea man there's not too much room between them

Patterson is the best qb in that class period. Not a knock to Franks, and some are concerned he may go pro.

I think Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson, and Zach Mettenberger have proven that LSU is capable of developing a QB.

First, clarification - LSU QBs that Les has signed and developed.
Second -"Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson"

So, let's try to put a positive outlook forward on this.
There is no putting a positive outlook forward on this
It's up to Les to fix the problem and make it a positive

Were better QBs as Seniors than as Freshmen. Hence, developed.

Jennings would be an ok backup. He doesn't need to start another game unless the starter is hurt.

Still waiting for you to tell me who was responsible for developing Mett.
And Lee made marked improvements from 2008-2011. Not really sure how you could debate it. He and Jefferson both got looks from NFL teams. But I guess they were good enough for that right out of high school.

it turns a 4 or 5 star into a 1star QB
The following is a list of 5* QBs to come out of either Texas or Louisiana since Vince Young (2002) and the school they signed with:
tx-Rhett Bomar, ok
la-Ryan Perriloux, lsu
tx-Matthew Stafford, uga
tx-Ryan Mallett, mich
tx-Russell Shepard, lsu
tx-Garrett Gilbert, tx
There hasn't been one since 2009.
There just haven't been a lot of good QBs coming out of our traditional QB recruiting grounds in the past 5 years or so.
