Damn. Y'all are harsh on her. Is this the OT or Ashley Madison? So confused.

Age is really just a number and those who know me will tell you I do not look 46.

According to the biological process of aging, age is most definitely not just a number.
And your perception of how you look or your friend's perception is skewed. If you're 46, you look 46 or close to it. To someone not in your age group, you look old. Someone in your age range would not think that because their perception is that of an older person.

Not the case, but I can see your point.

Post a pic and we can be the judge.

sorry about that, I was just joking

Sorry but it's true, backed by studies. People's perception of age changes as they age.

I'm not getting into all of that because it's honestly not an issue here. I'm not out to prove anything. I'm comfortable with my age.

Many of the older women who would frequent places like Sullivan's do indeed have a perception of themselves that are, well, laughable.

Sorry? I can see where that may apply to some people and they're perception about others.

You just happen to be the rare exception right?

You posted this. You already got into it by bringing it up.

Well I'm not one of those women. I take care of myself and you know what's the best part about being 46 and independent?
I don't care what people think.

I guess I'm just too direct, but it's true. A person your age or someone that's close to has a flawed perception because they are in that age range or see you often.
If you grabbed someone that's 18 off the street and asked if you looked 46,the likely answer would be yes.
