Main draw gets released Friday. I'm pumped. Who's pumped?

So I'm playing "Fantasy Tennis" this year with two buddies, and we just had our draft. We have 9 guys each, but only get to to "start" 5 per tournament.

ETA: lineup deleted so you all can compare all lineups (see page 2 of this thread).

I hope Nadal and Federer are on the same side.

Although it's unlikely Nadal will make it through to the semis.

Not sure why I am not excited yet. I kind of hope a Stan or Cilic wins, because it otherwise just feels like the 30th straight slam where we talk about the same few guys. Also, the tour just never fricking stops. They basically only get December off. This tournament should be in March, but it will never happen because it's built around their Labor Day.

Djoker is gonna be Djoker. No idea what to expect from Nadal, that will be exciting to see. I think Fed will finally fall off the shelf this year, but he was really solid last year with the healthy back, new stick, and Edberg as coach. I think Murray will make some solid runs as he will be at full fitness. Is Delpo playing yet?

Nadal still isn't sure if he's going to play. He's injured, you know.

Your buddy will win because he had the foresight to pick the Maestro.

Praying for a legit US contender in any grand slam this year.

Yeah, I got that.

Hence, unlikely.

I wish Donald Young would get his head out of his arse. He's so talented but just a wreck. Reminds me of James Blake.

Young is done and the rest of the Americans in their mid20s are garbage. The US does have a very good wave of 16-19 year olds who should be transitioning to the pro tour main fraws shortly. Donaldson, Kozlov, Rubin, Fritz, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Opelka ( a isner clone) have all been in the top 20 for ITF juniors in the last year, so hopeful with the numbers we have, at least 1-2, if not more, will have great success on the next level. Unfortunately, as these juniors aren't having success until around ages 23-25 now, we probably have to wait another 3-5 years for an American to have a shot to win a GS.

As a US sports fan I really don't like the schedule of the grand slams.

I believe this year the Aussie Open Final is actually on Super Bowl day, right? French and Wimbledon are too close together, then the US Open right when football season starts.

It would be nice if there was more of a break and the Aussie was in late Feb or early March.

Not true at all. He is talented but somewhat undersized. Has no weapons like James Blake had.

I think they're pushing Wimbledon a week back. Long overdue.

I should have clarified more...His style doesn't remind me of James Blake. His mental lapses and lack of mental toughness remind me of James Blake.
