The gunfight in that movie was pretty accurate. Close quarters and around 30 shots fired in total.

No

Back drop to the story:

Behan and Josephine are to be married, Behan had even gone to see her parents in Cal a few months before the gunfight.

Behan had made a deal with Wyatt on the Sheriffs office, which Behan had broken.

Wyatt starts seeing Josephine, just after the deal was broken by Behan (Behan had a wondering eye). Behan and Josephine had lived together a number of months before this and she had even worked and lived with the name Mrs. Johnny Behan.

There are 4 factions in town, not 2, Behan was in with 2 of those.

Wyatt gets his job by political connects with the governor, the governor is also playing the Cowboy side and is a land deal arranged by Ike.

Ike was turning state witness on the stage robbery on the 3 cowboys, the cowboys get word and this is why Ike is in town drinking. Ike thinks Wyatt had something to do with word getting around about him (it was not, Behan had the reason).

So the beginning of the walk to the OK Carroll:

Walking to the fight, Wyatt and Virgil where in the lead of Doc and Morgan by 10-15 feet on the side walk. This is seen by many as they made their way to the fight.

Doc and Morgan where talking to each other on the way to the fight and like Josephine said in her book they had made up their minds to end it that day (paraphrased of what she wrote). It was also overheard by people in the bar as they (Earps' and Doc) made their way to the fight.

Morgan and Doc had their pistols out when the fight started (stated to by many). Wyatt and Virgil had just come to disarm the Cowboys, that quickly changed:

Doc had his pistol out and fried all the rounds in it, then put the shotgun to shoulder and shoot the 2 barrels. Wyatt and Josephine confirm this information.

When Virgil says "Hold on, I don't want that!", he was speaking to Doc and Morgan; as both had just cocked their pistols.

The first 2 shots are Doc's and Morgan's, which Wyatt told Josephine later in life.

You seem knowledgeable on this topic but the little ive read seems to have a lot of who you want to believe and not a lot of definite facts.
