You call it rejection where a guy gets a pay raise at his "dream school" to stay? That would be rejection in the loosest terms.
We never had any reported interaction with Durkin so that doesn't really matter.
No one knows what happened with Pendergast.

Durkin didn't want to come here. LSU targeted him, but he said no thanks; he had a job.
