I think resigning the assistants before Chavis was a bad idea. In a way miles is in a tough spot. Most top notch Coordinatora wanna bring their own guys. It's a hard sell to get a DC but tell them they can't bring any of their own guys.

Exactly, why the frick wouldn't you tie those coaches contracts to, oh, I don't know, the DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR'S contract?!

Jesus, it's like it's amateur hour and Alleva is the headliner and LSU is going to be the punchline. Alleva is making his money, wtf does he care?

its way more common these days to keep a staff in place when hiring a dc ....

its hard for a good and established dc to up and move their family for basically a parallel move ...

i bet any up and coming position would jump at the chance to come here , but its a hard sell for any program to be able to just name who they want ....
