1) Orgeron does not hate LSU. He has mused prior to this year that he would like to coach here.

2) He has said some arguably negative things in the past about LSU. But it is important to remember context. He was recruiting directly against us at USC and Ole Miss. Every supposedly bad thing he has said before has been in the context of telling a recruit: "Don't go to LSU. Go to USC or Ole Miss because we do ____ better." Or, "LSU isn't good for this or that; but we're great for that." There is absolutely nothing wrong with him making these kinds of statements. Nothing. If he has talked badly of LSU in any other context, please enlighten us, and make sure to be specific: names/dates/sources.

3) I don't know how close he was to joining the LSU staff in 2008, but he supposedly was. Then Kiffin convinced him to stay on his staff at USC. I'm not privy to what the two offers may have been... regardless, like a recruit, until signed, on campus and announced as part of the team, he's not part of the team. I don't think it is unreasonable for him to re-evaluate job offers, even if last minute, and especially if he had a good working relationship with his boss at the time (Kiffin).

Again, if you have any specific, verifiable complaints, please share. Otherwise, like many on here, I'd welcome him to the staff. He's more than just a good recruiter. At a minimum, he's an excellent motivator and kids play hard for him. Having been on some excellent staffs at Miami and USC, I suspect he may even be a good teacher.
