I think college football would still be as big. It's all about competition between schools. There would be a level playing field and we would truly have student athletes. It probably never happen because why would the NFL spend money on a formative league when they can let amateur athletics foot the bill.

Negative. The talent level would drop significantly and they'd be competing with your "formative league" who is getting the better players who really don't need to waste time going to class when they could be preparing for their actual profession.
