It's a play meant to hit the deep wr who fakes disinterest blocking. You're hoping the safety crashes down for the run. The reason it is stupid is you might as well run play action. If the safety is going to stop to diagnose the play, he's already opened up a large enough passing window for an NFL quality QB.

Its fun to watch though....success not withstanding.....because even us Theodore's can see Eddy Haskell machinations and Ward is often gullible.
