If he were confident of improvement, I think he stays.
Well if we are to believe some folks, Miles really wanted him gone and finessed him into leaving using A&M as the motivator while using Alleva as the bad guy/good guy team.
And had already spoken with CP about coming,
If this is true then Miles' stock goes up in my eyes, now if he can be as skilled with the QB issues.

You guys are right in that I admit I'm looking at this from a bit of a selfish standpoint. But I have my doubts about him enjoying the same level of success there as he did at LSU.
Anyway- Does anyone think there is a legitimate chance LSU would hire Orgeron? I know he's never been a DC, but the man is an excellent recruiter and considered by many to be one of the better defensive minds in the college game.....

That theory would have more weight if Coach Miles had not been so stunned by the news of Chief's departure.
If this theory were true, Miles's public comments would have displayed more confidence and control over the situation.
BUT, we are all just speculating, so, we are all entitled to our own opinion.
I do agree that the "Miles was and is in control and engineered Chief's departure" is the best propaganda to disseminate for the sake of the program.
