I have to disagree.

No one cares what the person is wearing.

As long as both parties are doing the appropriate things at appropriate times
Part of being appropriate is dressing appropriately at the appropriate time. Even though it was Sunday night when our president broke into prime time television to tell us of the death of Saddam Hussein, he was wearing a suit.
I am not suggesting that Tom Landry/Vince Lombardi-style is the only acceptable wardrobe choice for NFL coaches, but a person who respects the league should dress with respect, not in a way designed to express disdain.
In the picture posted, Belicheck is barely dressed decent enough to grab the paper from the front yard at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. If I'm a Patriot owner or fan, I would prefer that my coach dress in a manner that sets a good example for my players. Bill doesn't.
In summary,

Dude will go down as one of the all time greatest coaches, and you care what he wears to a press conference. You must have HATED Clinton Portis.

Whenever Bill Belichick has a nationally televised conference to announce that we killed a terrorist..get back to me and complain about his wardrobe then

His example has led to 3 SBs, 5 AFC championships, and 12 division titles. I think it's a fine example
