I haven't seen anyone say that, but to clarify my last post -- obviously, it's fair to talk about previous records in the sense of contextualizing numbers, but if people are comparing just records during certain time frames, it's not fair to Malzahn to include the records before he was the head coach (I'm sure you knew what I meant, but I wanted to clarify so that someone else didn't misconstrue what I was saying).

I get you. Malzhan is just a poor example,IMO. Despite a better winning % and a NC, he doesn't have lare enough of a sample size to justify being better than Les.
In honesty, I'm kinda shocked he (Gus) lost 4 games. Also got the benefit of the Treadwill fumble and having two jerseys with the same # going unnoticed by the zebras.
Then of course there's the Prayer at Jordan-Hare and the Kick Six.
There's still much to be written about Malzhan.
