OP we don't need your crap analysis. Intelligent college football fans knew Miles wasn't going anywhere. If he loses 5 next year he is on the hot seat. If 2016 is bad we buy him out at 8 million.

TigerGman was preaching it few pages back!!! He's right we got molested in several games! LSU offense has been horse manure 6/7 seasons. So many fans keep talking about Miles winning percentage. Have you noticed his percentage is going down the past 3 years. We aren't the same team as in 05,06,07.

Ha, I have to laugh when I read these post. Boths sides (hate miles/love miles) fence typically don't know shite about their own coach.

Miles has recently... yes recently be saddled with the title of old school run at all cost coach that hates to throw the ball.

The truth is Miles is not constrained by his belief so much as he has been constained by subpar passing quarterbacks. Recently Mett is the only exception and guess what he threw for a lot of yards.

It is the talent that has made us a run first football team.

So for those of you that disagree I will point you at the caliber of quarterbacks LSU has been recruiting. Some were misses but that doesn't change the philosophy of why they were recruited. Some turned their backs on LSU at the last minute and went to baseball or to other teams. Doesn't change the fact that Miles was trying to bust out of the "we can't pass worth a shite" delima we have been in as of late.

Look at the last OC hire. Look at the WR and TE LSU has been targeting!

Miles may not... has not succeeded much lately with getting that great qb, but I am not arguing that he was successful. I am arguing that he "has a want" to pass the ball more.

I will be the first to admit that at one point this year I was watching LSU and getting pissed that we were not throwing the ball more. Then a few passes later I was like, "OH... stop throwing the damn ball."

I think that 2015 could come as a shock to some people. I think our young qb's are hindered mainly be time and not ability. It is entirely within the realm of possibility that the playbook sinks in for BH next year and we have a killer QB. If that is the case then book it we will be throwing the ball much more next season.

Doesn't mean we won't run because hell, we have one heck of a running attack.

I just believe this situation LSU has been in is more dictated by talent than by want/philosophy!

And for the ND game maybe we get a glimps of some improvement to expect from AJ next year. With all the extra time instead of just a week to prepare the coaches should have been able to really work on typical spring football type stuff with AJ. I think we will see SOME improvement from him against ND.

Geaux Tigers!

My point is that we are stacked and that our QB situation will only improve, so he will not lose more than 4 in either 2015 nor in 2016. As such, your analysis is based off of a different premise than mine. If he wins 9 or more in 2015 and in 2016, which is much more likely than not. he WILL coach the 2017 if he so chooses. Based on all observations, everyone should be able to agree than under those circumstances, he will be at LSU as HC for at least 3 more years. At that point, he will be the "winningest" coach in LSU's history in most or all categories, and with 13 years under his belt. will be even less likely to be turned loose by the LSU hierarchy. That is University Politics 101 (especially at LSU). Your premise and mine are not the same. I am expressing my opinion that my scenario of him winning 9 or more in the next 2 years is much better of a possibility than yours that he loses 5 games in one of both of the next 2 seasons.
