Any one with any experience.
I rode in a boat with one the other day and was fairly impressed. While not in the same class as some of the higher end ones, for the price they seem a good value, any body here got any experience with them?

Total crap. Used for 1 hunting season and sold. The only way it ran was wide open.

I have an 18HP Vanguard. been very happy with it.
Cranks right up without a hitch even after sitting under the carport for a few months un-touched.
The guys at copperhead let me test one on my boat before purchasing. Overall, good guys and good product.

Great motors. I had a 23 on a 1442 and it hauled arse and did really well pushing weight. The folks over there are awesome people and bend over backwards to help their customers. The only reason I sold mine was because I got a much bigger boat.
Their power to weight ratio is much better than pro drive or gator tail minis. There's hardly nothing on the motor that can break and not be fixed on the fly with minimal mechanical knowledge. I really can't say enough good things about them.

Love mine. I have the 23hp. Light, very little maintenance, simple, not much can break on it, and it's very fast. The 23hp Briggs is only getting better as it breaks in. At first it stalled a lot, especially from wide open to idle. I've got almost 50hrs on mine and it runs great. Always starts up on the first turn of the key.
The people at copperhead are great folks. Call them and ask them any questions you have, they will be more than happy to talk to you.
