When The Count of Monte Cristo came out, I absolutely loved that movie. Then I read the book two years ago. I've never been able to watch the movie again.

The Count of Monte Cristo can only be done correctly in a miniseries. There is simply too much detail and too long of a time period.
Anything less sells the story way short IMO.
