Do you blame them? You ever been EMS? Spend your working nights stepping into unknown drunk crowds but can't keep your alertness up because you have to focus on a patient? You gonna turn your back on an intense situation within which you have no idea what the intentions of people there are?

how could brpd afford to have that many uniformed cops off seatbelt and dwi checkpoints?
really, cops once again are wrong and acted overzelous in manhandling the citizens that pay their salary. probably figure that since someone is drunk and 90% of the time they cn convince anyone they are in the right if their paperwork matches. too bad we live in the age where everyone has video surveillance.
