The fade was pretty much INVENTED for Les Miles type coaches. The idea is that basically, it's a TD or out of bounds unless your QB is a moron. That it is a low percentage play almost seems beside the point for such coaches.

Now, that said, If I've got Megatron type guy, THEN, the fade starts looking OK.

But hell, I've seen coaches run fades to 5'9" WRs. Do you realize how perfect that pass has to be!!!
