Calm down.
Not all black people are like you think or even think the same way. Not all social issues are created by minorities. That is actual detachment from reality.
You're talking to a black republican right now

I am in health care and work in the black communities. I go to places where idiot white people think they would get their throats cut if their windows were down. I find these places friendlier than white neighborhoods. I love black people. Everything I said above stands, though.

Not even the majority fit this stereotype. Whether we're talking about Black folks, White folks, Hispanics, Jews, Muslims, etc., negative stereotypes very, very rarely fit the majority of any group which is why it's bigoted to spout them.

I agree. But i think the problem is there is an inconsistency with how the black community (in large) wants to be viewed. When something happens to a black person (especially by someone of a different race) it happens to all black people and affects all black people, because they are a people with great empathy/unity for each other.
The minute a black person (or even a large percent of them) does something wrong, thats an individual. You cant attribute that to them. They are no longer a unified body.
You cant have it both ways. You cant wear shirts that say "I am Michael Brown" and then call me racist when I view you as someone who might rob a convenient store and assault the owner. You told me over and over that you want to be associated with him. That he was your representative and you his.
disclaimer: i dont mean you Tbird, i mean you to the people that i am talking about.
