IMO, this was a mistake. Gimmicky beers just won't take off in the craft beer world as a new brewery. Especially one that is reliant on sugar flavors. I say that as i remember cane break. Which was good the first time i had it, and it was when i was somewhat new into craft beer. Nowadays i tend to stay away from it. Too malty for me. But, that's just my personal preferences of beer. So maybe i'm wrong, but my opinions of a king cake beer scream "big mistake" in my head.

Seems to me they played their initial offering poorly. Nothing that will stand out to the beer maven crowd, and nothing that would attract the folks that are just stepping out into the beer world.
