Jones is not moving to HW. I think there is a good chance he rematches Vitor
There is no reason for him to fight Vitor, or anyone else for that matter at 205.
If he truly wants to erase any doubt about being the definitive best of all time, then moving to HW is his only option. He has the frame to fight at 225 or 230 and not lose any quickness.
I actually think he might be a better fighter at HW than LHW and end up being more dominant.

Meaningless hypothetical: Bones (now) vs Fedor (in his prime), who wins and how?
They don't fight in the same weight class so its not fair. Fedor wins by submission.

The weight difference really wouldn't be too substantial between Jones and Fedor and Jones would be a much taller and longer opponent. Fedor's takedown defense hasn't always been the best and if we are going by UFC rules I would favor Jones by ground and pound. It would be tough for Fedor to hit his looping punches when Jones would keep him on the outside until Jones would get a takedown. I'd say 7 times out of 10 Jones would get a decision victory.

I completely disagree with you here. He would lose his advantages he has at 205. In every fight at 205 he is usually the bigger fighter and has a gigantic reach advantage. He also doesn't have that 1 punch knockout power which pretty much every heavyweight has. I can't see Jones beating people like Reem, JDS, Cain, Werdum, Hunt, Browne, and hell even Struve.

Are you trying to say Stevan Struve is better than Daniel Cormier?

Feddor wouldn't mess around striking with Jones he would rush him. In the ring there is no where to hide, Jones gets taken down easy. in the cage it probably becomes a grindfest and takes a while.

It would be an interesting fight between Cormier and Struve. It would all depend if Cormier could get Struve to the ground and the stamina of Struve. I would give the advantage to Struve on the feet early in the fight but if it was a 5 rounder I'd probably pick Cormier/Jones. I would love for Jones first heavyweight fight to be against Struve because Struve is taller and has the same reach as Jones.

Matt Lindland and Brett Rogers took Fedor down..

You're not serious are you.. Struve looked like he didn't even belong in MMA after the Reem fight.

Jones has never been taken down easily. Jones just fought Cormier who is an Olympic caliber wrestler and Cormier couldn't get him to the ground. Now the question would be would Fedors strength advantage be able to get Jones to the ground.

really Him and Reem were even on the feet in that fight and that is why Reem took that fight to the ground. Both Jones and Cormier don't have the KO finishing power that Reem has.

Cormier knocked out Bigfoot Silva and wrecked Patrick Cummins with punches

I don't think he was even taken down until the gus fight that I'm sure he didnt even train wrestling for. fedor is not taking Jones down

ok... Both those fights are completely different matchups. Cormier has more punching power than Jones and his speed was able to overwhelm bigfoot. It's harder to hit Struve because of his height and length. If you watch the Reem vs Struve fight again Reem couldn't figure out how to hit Struve on the feet. Patrick Cummins has no business even being in this conversation.

That's up for debate. Personally, I wouldn't kick her out of bed. She has a rocking body with good hair.
Questionable face, I think it's the nose.

1. Irrelevant Jones wouldn't want to go to the ground with the greatest submission fighter in UFC history
2. Rogers never took down Fedor(who was past his prime at that point anyway). IIRC Fedor rolled on his back to get a kimura
3. Lindland could take down almost anyone, he got submitted for his trouble.

Fedor took down a lot of guys who were impossible to take down. Also defending a take down in the cage vs a ring is an entirely different animal.

The statement is wrong in 2 ways. Fedor was never a UFC fighter and in no way will you convince me that Fedor is a better submission artist than big nog, Frank Mir, and Werdum. What made Fedor great was that he was so well rounded in an age that fighters for the most part were one dimensional. I can't even remember the last time I saw someone get a submission from their back in the UFC.

That's true. The fight would be vastly different if it were pride rules compared to the UFC. Taking away Jones elbows would hurt Jones and Fedor would have a better chance of taking him down in a ring.
