There is absolutely no reason you don't kick the field goal with :30 left

Just terrible clock management.

If you expected anything else from Brees and Payton you haven't been paying attention
Posted on 12/21/14 at 3:05 pm to GCTiger11
I dont get it. That was fricking stupid AS frick
Posted on 12/21/14 at 3:05 pm to GCTiger11
No dumbass. You need a TD to win.
Brees made an epic frickup by not throwing in the end Zone. That's an execution problem not a bad play call.
Coaches stil suck don't get me wrong but frick. Throw it in the end twice to try and score. Would take10 seconds

Sean Payton and Drew Brees are as stupid as Denny Green and Daunte Culpepper.

There is a reason. Going for the TD was statistically the correct decision. You're an idiot.

Hey dumb frick
You need a touchdown and a field goal. Do you want time left to even score the go-ahead touchdown? We were gonna have no time to even drive down the field

No you kick the FG giving yourself some time on the clock and try a few Hail Marys if you get the onside.

When we were near the 30 yd. line it wasn't the easiest, and there was about 50 seconds left.
I just don't think we trust Graham at all, which is why we didn't kick.
Once we got to the 13 it didn't make sense statistically to not try to score.
The underneath routes that close to the endzone were stupid as frick.

They didn't want to win anyways. I'm convinced that this made that decision before the season even started. They bought into the hype that they'd be Super Bowl favorites based off of talent and never bothered to try. The division being as terrible as it has this year didn't make them try any harder either. Just all around complacency. Front office needs to make some examples this off season. If not, get ready for more sub .500 Saints teams and a revert back to the pre 2006 Saints where going 8-8 is a good season.

When you consider all that can go wrong running a play (sack, fumble, underneath route), the best bet was to kick the FG to have a whole half a minute to take the lead had we gotten the onside kick

Yep. An onside kick recovery all but puts you in field goal range as it is.

So would you rather get FG and have 30 seconds to drive 50 yards & score 'or score a TD and have 20 seconds to go 20 yards to get in FG range.
Bunch of fricking dumb sheep in this thread...but the announcer said kick a FG though!!!!

No dude just give. Statically receiving an onside kick is 10%.
And you still have the same issues trying to score a TD even if you receive. God you're a fricking idiot.

Should have done it with :50. Inexcusable clock management.
