I had never heard of Can until I read John Lydon's autobiography several years ago. He mentioned them several times as being one of, if not his most, favorite bands. That piqued my interest so I checked Tago Mago and Future Days. Like you've said, I was blown away that this music had been made back then. It still sounds fresh and vital to my ears.

Almost everyone know of Kraftwerk, but Amon Duul II was one of the more successful spacy Kraut Rock bands- Check out 'Wolf City' and 'Dance of the Lemmings' albums.
