I think he is working on Jennings, but failing at putting him in the right situations. At the same time, I think that he is grooming Harris for the future. IMO, Harris is a 3 year starter. Physically, he's as talented as Mariota. He's 6'3 with a laser arm, and will probably run somewhere in the 4.6 range when he runs. That said, he is extremely raw after only starting to play football as a 9th grader (only starting as a junior), and never learning the finer points of the QB position or working from under center. He's also still light in the arse, and Jennings has gotten lit up several times and he's like 20-25lbs heavier and an inch shorter.

People shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions and see that Cameron is trying to work through this season and prepare for next season with Harris at the same time. We can't expect him to jump from being raw as frick to playing in a pro style offense against the SEC West, with all extremly inexperienced WRs, and while having as much meat on his bones as Dupre.

I know people want to rattle off names like Kaaya and Watson and even Allen, but none of those QBs, had a raw label attached to them coming out of high schools by many scouts. They were some of the more known "polished" passers and QBs in general. Harris still has that panic mode mentality that many dual threats have. My belief is that Cam wants to break him from that as well.

Then you have the fact that they all play in systems very similar to what they ran in high school as well. Parkway's system isn't close to what Cam runs either.

I say give Cam time to mold this kid. Just quit complaining about him not getting a fair shake or whatever the hell people want to say about this year. No, Jennings will not start until he graduates just because. That is nonsense and somewhere deep inside under all of that delusional thinking people have built up, they know that fact. LSU fans want a kid to grow up now, immediately, no excuses. They don't give a damn about teaching a guy the right way. It's the main reason why true freshman rarely play at QB, even rarer in the SEC. Harris is neither in the system (spread), nor polished enough to jump from high school to starter.

That's all I want to say on that.
