I have zero problem with this interview or his stance in this particular case, i just think he should have addressed it just as he did in the speech, using his voice as a platform. So the problem i have is, with all the anger and flat out scary opposition to police right now, i think the T-shirt comes across as anti-police an inflamatory....thats every bit as dangerous in my opinion! Yes, once you hear him speak and address the issue, it comes across as sincere, towards both sides of the debate, but i just think that it was piling on, on an already volitile issue in this country. Its a tough issue and side to be on in America right now for sure!

Without the shirt, there would be no platform. It was because of the shirt that the police demanded an apology, that the Browns org. refused, and that the media interviewed him.

quote:In a perfect world, I agree. The problem is his name has no clout in the sports world, so no one would care what he said if he didn't do the t-shirt thing, no matter how really great his words were. It took the t-shirt for him to get noticed.
