well our property is up there, similar type of situation, we go up on the weekends, have big pond with tons of big bass

people up there just dont seem to give a shite if something is theirs or not. since they grew up there, they seem to think they have a right to go wherever and take whatever they want. We constantly have to chase people off from fishing in our lake and hunting on our property, even with fences and locked gates.

So no, that story doesnt suprise me, if they noticed that noone had been there a few weeks, they probably just decided they had a right to the catfish and took them

I would set up cameras and monitor this kind of activity. If all you do is chase them off, they obviously don't care, and won't care until legal action is taken. Call in Barney Fife and NIP IT!
