Congrats on being new parents. Im expecting my second in Feb. Is daycare mandatory for you guys? Or do the bills require your wife to work?
Prescriptions, sleepless nights, $$$, nebulizers, doctors visits, runny noses, crying, fevers. My wife nursed for a year and everything was fine. She took a lead teacher daycare job, and took our daughter with her for 3 months, and she was very sickly for 3 months. That experiment ended real quick.

I have three. My wife works 1 or so days a week. Had stayed home for the last five years. God I wish she would go back to staying home. Life was so much easier for me.
We do day programs for them whether the wife works or not. She would kill one of em if she didn't get a break. But no real high costs outside of clothes, food, etc. The two little ones combined cost about half of what the seventeen year old costs. shite, you just bleed money. Camps, clothes, car, insurance, she does her part but still costs a fortune.
I would imagine each little boy 5 and 3 costs us about 600 additional per month, the sister....who knows. College next year will make this seem like a bargain

Yes, for now Daycare is mandatory. We live downtown Chicago so cost of living is pretty crazy right now. We're looking into nanny share's because we're both afraid of how sick kids get at a daycare with 15+ kids. Not sure how much longer we're going to live DT or even in IL for that matter. We're both from south (KY for her and GA for me) so a move south may be close. I can easily transfer with my job and she may be able to transfer as well. I work out of the house which may help with daycare costs, but I also travel 50% of the time so i'm not always going to be here.
