This is the killer. Why do so many want to jump in the draft as soon as they can? Even if they're gonna go undrafted. It happens everywhere, but not like LSU. It's like theyre just waiting to bust out. You have to give these players a reason to stay. Like championships.

Miles is an excellent recruiter, media personality, fund raiser and executive of the LSU Program. We graduate players top in the SEC(minus Vandy) and generally have no major discipline issues(We never compete for the infamous Fulmer Cup) and have had no major NCAA infractions, we had a minor issue with a scout service and took care of it. We hire and pay top coordinators and have one of the few financially elite programs. All of these are testaments to Les Miles who is a 1st rate human being.

Now having said that, the flip side is Miles makes very poor personnel decisions sometimes just to spite himself. The Beckwith-Welter issue, our current QB issue, the JJ/JLee debacles, his constant changing RBs at times for no reason, his issues with Terrance Toliver when he was our best WR, it goes on and on and for no explainable reason.

Why he recruits DT QBs to run a pro style offense? Why he recruits pass catching TEs when he uses them primarily to block? He's too loyal to a fault with sub par coaches like Stud and BDP. His gameday coaching is lacking and his teams never appeared prepared. His gameplans appear simple and do not take advantage of obvious mismatches or opportunities. Plain and simple Miles is not an Xs and Os coach, his schtick has become stale and he will average a couple of losses a year from here on out. It will take some stars align type situations to just win the SEC.
