My question is... if AD is MVP-caliber THIS year, then why does his age or number of years in the league matter?
If they are having trouble winning with an MVP-caliber player right now, then I'm not sure much will change in the future.

40% of the salary cap is dedicated to 2 players currently projected to produce a combined 1.9 win shares. LINK / For comparison purposes Austin Rivers is projecting at 1.4 WS and Alexis Ajinca at 2.9. The production we're getting out of Tyreke and Gordon's salary slots is what will change in the future.

Hopefully finding guards that can shoot will help. Maybe some NBA caliber players on the bench?
