LSU can barely make ends meet as it is with the restraints the Athletics budget has in place. Football money, bayou country fest money, etc...and once LSU gives academics 7.5M/yr its down to basically pennies.
Our recruiting budget is severely lacking and its showing. Facilities are aging and in need of upgrades to keep up with the rest of the SEC.
