"Follow the Money"
when it is all SEC, the national stories draw less audience, and less revenues.
...why do you think we have a committee in place?
Also, each of the ESPN people have ties to a school, or conference....where their support comes from.
In addition, if you only take the top 2-3 teams across all major conferences, any team could beat another in a given day, and THOSE WINS are used to show parity, where the strength of the SEC is that we do not have 2-3 strong teams, but maybe 5-10 annually.

It's like wrestling. The SEC is playing the role of the heel or the "bad" guy that kicks all the "nice" guys' asses.

Nobody wants to play an 8 game sec schedule right now, assume you are in the west which means you got 6 games that will be blood baths mixed in with 2 east teams that are still more physically talented (exclude Vandy and UK) than 85% of the rest of the country. That is stronger than anything anyone else can offer

I'd take the SEC West over any conference top to bottom. If these other top 25 teams had to play this division week in week out they would have a losing record.

I have news for you. The sec isn't that great anymore. Other teams and conferences have caught up.
Horse shite. Recruiting rankings, national polls, nfl draftees, and bowl records disagree with you.
I think a more reasonable stance is that the other conferences are closer than they once were. But SEC [West] is still king

People have SEC burnout... Similar to teams within SEC being burnt out w Bama

Exactly it was fun when it was different SEC teams but I hate Bama

IMO there was nothing wrong with the bcs. Had it been in place today bama would be playing fsu and I think most would agree that those are the too 2 teams in the country.
There was ALOT wrong with the BCS. And I completely disagree that FSU is among the top two teams. Oregon, Ohio State, TCU, Baylor all have good arguments why they're better than FSU. Merely having an undefeated record shouldn't carry the day, especially when FSU plays in a very weak conference. I think Oregon will destroy FSU in the semi-final.
Why the BCS was not good:
1. Only the top 2 teams made it to the championship game. It's absurd to think it's good to only pick 2 teams out of 128??? There are usually 5 or 6 really good teams in a given year, and then a few more that are on the edge. Two teams is just too few. Once we get to an 8-team playoff, it'll be about perfect (5 conference champs plus 3 at-large).
2. The BCS formula is 2/3 human polls, which are horribly (HORRIBLY) flawed. The other 1/3 is computers, but the formula the computer uses is programmed in by humans.
3. The "committee" concept is universally praised when it's used for March Madness selections and seedings. It's much better than relying on random sportswriters and coaches who don't spend any time filling in their ballots. So the committee concept is far superior to the poll-driven BCS.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that 1/9/12 was pretty low ratings outside the deep South
3rd lowest in BCSC game history but still clocked a 14+. Most analysts think it had to do more w/ the rematch than the regional lean.

As an LSU fan you have no reason to root for the SEC outside of our own team. Have you forgotten the crimes of the past few seasons?!
