Miles not what Michigan is looking for?

What trait must Michigan's next coach have?
Edit: History tells us that Les is not Michigan's guy
quote:
Michigan's next coach needs to develop a quarterback. Want to be elite? Create a star. Look at the top of the College Football Playoff rankings: Oregon's Marcus Mariota, Florida State's Jameis Winston, TCU's Trevone Boykin, Ohio State's J.T. Barrett (pre-injury), Baylor's Bryce Petty. This season's best of the best. The only team without one: Alabama. Which has Nick Saban, one of the great coaches of all-time. Get Saban and you're excused.
quote:I don't necessarily agree with their assessment of the Michigan program. I think there are more problems than just the QB position. But if people that follow Michigan the closest think that they need a head coach that will develop a QB, then once they look closer into Miles tenure at LSU they may realize that he is not their guy.
This isn't a rebuilding process. It's finding a coach who can develop a quarterback. This program has some talent. Before Connor Cook emerged last season, Michigan State looked like a 7-6 team again ... with the league's best defense. The position is that important. The block M should do the rest.

Les Miles may be a fine recruiter, but he eats grass better than he develops quarterbacks. Is that really the head coach Michigan wants?

If that is the case and I am not saying it isn't, that speaks volumes about what is to happen at LSU until he does leave.

I wouldn't venture all these programs were "elite".

Yeah but you Miles haters say he screws up every game, so obviously they wouldn't want him, right?

Seems to me, UM should be more concerned about a Coach that can win.
But, I don't think they know what in the hell they want.
Kinda funny actually

Well that lets out Miles, but really you do not have to be able to do that to be a Good HC.
What you have to be able to do is hire people who can, but that requires Talent also

Who gives a frick what Michigan is looking for in a coach.
Zach Mettenberger says hello, idiot.

Now my Josh McDaniels pick makes perfect sense!

That's part of their problem right there.
Same attitude that ND has.
That's why neither of them have been LEGITIMATELY relevant on a national scale in quite some time.

quote:Yeah. And that, IMO, has been at the heart of Michigan's problem with coaches since RR was hired and fired onward.
I don't think they know what in the hell they want.

Typical Rant. It's Miles fault when we have bad QB play, but good QB play is in spite of Miles.

So other schools read TD for inside info regarding LM?
Also, you're going to have to thank all the negatigers for Miles' return next year.

Ugh I can't blame them I wish he wasn't what lsu was looking for either

Look it is real simple basic evaluation,
who got Mett to sign with them - Georgia
Where did Mett continue to grow and develop @ Junior College
How long did Mett wait after here to play, and who was the QB while he waited
This is not Rocket science - these are FACTS
Now ask yourself after 10 years as Miles as HC, how many QB's has Miles brought to the level of Mett who was signed, trained and developed at other schools.
The answer is ZERO, there are NONE - Seems to me you want to shoot the Messenger for the Message

Truth hurts. 3 loss Less would be out of job Les if he couldn't recruit. I wonder if another requirement for the new Michigan coach is the ability to manage the clock as well.
