To stick in the NFL, if you don't start, you need to be a freakish athlete or excel on special teams.

This x100, he's not a strong run stopper at DE, doesn't have any coverage skills so can't move to inside backer, and doesn't have the speed to play special teams.
I can name 10 former LSU players who got a little run in the league but never stuck due to some or all of the following reasons.
