New Samsung TV is too glossy and shows ceiling lights in reflection

is this just something people suffer through with LEDs now a days? I am replacing a Sharp LCD and never had this problem before.

any options other than watching tv in the dark?

Big problem with plasmas. Didn't know new LCDs were expericing the same.

I don't even have a TV anymore, I just do hulu plus and netflix

There are matte options - I would definitely do significant research on this issue before buying a television. We typically watch in low-light/medium light conditions, but I don't want a glossy finish for a whole host of reasons.
